St. Maurice Altarpiece

15th century
Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France

The cathedral's guide book identifies St. Maurice, but the statue has no attribute other than the armor and the sword. St. Roch is identified by the pilgrim's staff, the badge on his hat, and most importantly by the wound on his left thigh. On the right the three gold balls sitting on the book identify the bishop as St. Nicholas.
